Ok, instead of writing all again, i'll merely quote myself from the FIFA2006 forum:

Hello guys, this is my first post in this community, and I'm already leeching you with my system issues.

Well, first, i'd like to ask if there is an area of this forum for tech assistance. The tech support sub-forum only allows administrators to post, so I could not ask this there...

Anyway, here is my thing:

The system I own is this:

- AMD Athlon64 XP 3200+
- DFI Lanparty nF4 sly-dr (onboard Karajan Module - latest drivers)
- 2 Gb Ram DR400 (Geil UltraX)
- 256 mb NVidia GeForce 6800 ultra (latest drivers)
- Enermax 600W Power Unit
- Windows XP Pro SP2

The system works like a charm, both for applications and games. I have like 10 games installed (for example all Prince of Persia series, Doom3 and Half-life 2, Civilization 4, Ultimate Spider man), and I run the Microsoft Office 2003 and the Photoshop CS2 in these last 5 months, and it never did so much as lock up even once.

Still when I installed my copy of Fifa2006 (CD version, only one avaiable here in Brazil), the game goes crazy. The opening video goes insane (it halts, move, halts, move, halts...), both video and audio (which also loose syncrony). It appears that the HD reading becomes slow, the light stay off for a long time.

I turned off all applz on the background and tried it right after I installed and it worked great (flawlessly actually, everything instantaneous). Than I went to windows, turned it all back on, and it worked again, one more time flawlessly.

But since I turned off for the night and turned it on again today, the malfunction is relentless, and don't go away even with everything off (leaving only the internet connection and NVIDIA drivers on). And still, for everything else, the system is flawless.

What drives me particularly insane is that searching the web I have not found one single person describing a problem just like mine (let alone a solution). Hell, even the game patch didn't do a damn thing.

Quite frankly, i'm all out of ideas. Anybody has a clue of what is going on?

PS.: I can't jump the video and go to the game. it won't jump, so I can't play when that happens. The one time i found the courage to wait out, I found out it would lock inside the game as well (specifically, in the aereal view you get entering the training mode).

Drivers may be a problem too. My computer is a bit old. I used to play Fifa 2002 flawlessly but when I downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card I started too see a blank screen.
