Final Fantasy 7 Mod

Yes, I'm back, but this time I'm really completeting it.

For those who don't know, I created a Final Fantasy 7 map (very detailed), and later decided to create a mod for it. Well, I'm almost done after all this time, and here are the planned features:

4 Civilizations (Wutai, Anceints, Shinra, AVALANCHE)
UU's for each civilization
Changed resources
Changed music
Changed buildings/units/wonders
Changed civilopedia/opening message
Changed Spaceship screen (only in game maps 2 and 3)
Changed title screen/music

The map will feature 3 versions:
1. Fixed map - Starting cities are permanent, no new roads/cities/etc., just like in the game, no Earth wonders (like Pyramids, etc.), wonders are already built in according cities, resources are infinite and accessible by default, can't cross mountains
2. Changing map - Same as above, but default rules (except for changed wonders/buildings/units/etc.), like a completely new game, can build new cities, resources are random, can cross mountains
3. Random map - Same as above, but starting points are random

Here are the things still not finished (waiting for Hikaro Takayama):

Civilopedia (have only few articles done)
2 leaderheads

The entire mod will also feature 2 different versions:

1. Full version - About 80-100MBs in size
2. Lite version - About 50-80MBs in size, difference is there being no custom music

PS: Once I post the link for download, in order to get the custom background (w/ music), you can either load the scenario and go to the menu screen, or replace the default background (and music).

That's important, maps larger than 180X180 run terribly slow, even on fast PC's.

What's your plan, a scenario for Hikaro's upcoming mod, or an indepented mod specialized in FF7, based on Hikaro's work? Is he aware of your project?
 
Yes, I'm aware, and have been helping on the side.... This is an independant scenario based on my work... And it looks like I'll have to get cracking with the Aeris Gainsboro LH that I'd mentioned to Magus about in my emails....
 
Ok, Double post, I know, but I've got a working rough draft of the Aeris Gainsborough LH done, and would like some input as to which BG I should use.... I may try lightening up the texture of her hair, as well as tweaking the texture of her jacket a bit, but this is what I've got for now:

Looks nice! But, will she have that look on her face all of the time when she is in "default mode" (not pissed or happy)? Cos she kinda looks freaked out by something. Like, Sephiroth just pulled out his... sword in front of her.

Is it possible to use an Aeris` church background? If not, I vote for the one on the right.

Hikaro: I'd say the 1st one (on the left), because it looks more mystical, which her civ is supposed to look like (BTW, what should her name be? Ex. Goddess Aeris or Ancient Aeris?). And when you're doing Yuffie, either the Da Chao monument or the pagoda would do well. As for the civilopedia, I'm just looking for a basic, bare-bones civilopedia with basic info (I can change the "PRTO" names later).

Yorgos: The map size is a nice, even 130 x 130

BTW, I just added a few more small audio extras. Now, for some buttons when you press OK or cancel or whatever (not all, because it eventually gets annoying), you hear a Chocobo wark sound. I replaced "Button1", "Button Cancel", "Button OK", "ButtonCancelX", "Select", and "Select2".
 
Storm: Aeris' Church is already being used as BG for Cloud (BTW, thanks to the recent acquisition of better props, textures and figures, I'm going to be re-doing cloud's LH soon....), so it wouldn't make much sense for them both to have the same BG. Also, as I said before, I'll be changing a few of the textures on Aeris and her outfit (I'll post a semi-final preview when I get off work), but that is more or less what she'll look like for the neutral attitude. I'll also be using this updated figure and such to make a new Foreign advisor for the regular FF mod.

Magus: First 1 it is then.... I thing a good title for the leader of the ancients would be Archon or High Magus or something like that (with Archon being my first choice... sounds ancienty)
 
Okay, sorry about the dealay, but I've got what should be the final versions of the Aeris and Yuffie LH done. Previews are below... BTW, i'm also going to be re-doing my Cloud Strife LH as well as the Star Sibyl LH I did a long time ago... My having acquired better hair, props, figures, and texturing/modeling techniques since then are the reasons I'm doing so.

OK, I know that some people might wonder what the reason for my appearant lack of progress on LH making is, and I have a good reason. I'm setting up for what is known as a "run"... Basically, I'm going to be animating, rendering and finishing 4 LHs in one weekend, and I've been working on getting the figures and props set up for said LHs on this run.The last one I had to set up was the Re-make of Commander Cloud Strife, which required me to search about a dozen Poser content sites before I could find a hair prop that resembled his hair in Advent Children, and said site would not allow me to register with my free email address (and my ISP doesn't come with and email package) but I was finally able to register at said site after working things around via email with the site admin, and I was able to purchase the hair prop, and I've now finally got Cloud done.

Attached is a preview of the new updated version of Cloud and the old, not so good version (hey, I've learned a lot about poser in the 2 years since I made that LH):

I could see about it... But that's for my next LH run, where I attempt to do Emperor Paramekia, and I'll re-do Princess Fiona (since I found a better hair prop for her), and also possibly be re-doing Rikku (even though Frenchman did a great job with her, I have learned enough that I could do a somewhat better version) as well as Prince Trion and Marche....
 
Cloud and Aeris are done, Rendering Yuffie as I type this.....

Update to my mod:
I will only include 2 versions of the map:

1. Rules changed for new/added stuff, but everything else is default. Cities/wonders are already built, settler and worker costs increased (slightly), resources random (with few exceptions), workers can't clear jungles/forests/marsh.

2. Same as above, but wonders (only FF ones) aren't built nor are there any cities, and workers have default jobs available.
 
Yuffie is done, and I could see about making the new materia resources, but not tonight... Doing 3 LH in one day was rather tiring....
