I'm sure this had been thought of before...

If there has been one could you provide a link to it? If not I will do all I can but I'm good for nothin but XML and even that is a lil crappy.

Though I think it could work for those interested.

=Nations= (or rather divisions of the same nation)
Igros
Limberry (I gotta double check my facts)

=Leaders=
Goltana
Larg
Limdor

=Religion=
Glabdos (i think you spellz it that ways)

This is a rough ROUGH outline

I'd be interested to see how you'd put that into Civ4. There are plenty of new models and units so at least that part is easy. :p

Yeah... I obviously can't do it alone... well I can but it'd take till probibly... wow past graduation year o.O... 2008... and probibly in the end be 2012. ^^ Buuuut I'll update the post with things I think might work. I've been an FFT fan so I think I can generate a few lil' things. I could also get portraits pretty easily from some old drawings for FFT.

You have xp and promotions, but I'm not sure how you'd juggle the changing of class or weapons/armor/stuff.

The tactical battles would be cool if you could somehow make it turnbased and use height, terrain, and promotional bonuses.

Yeah, would that require much Python script?

I don't know jack about python, but class switching seems real tough. I think you could swing weapons and armor to be treated like promotions, but I'm not sure how you could have just one of each active at one time instead of adding up. It might be cool to have a "hammer" promotion that does +40% vs elves, but be able to switch to a "bow" promotion that does +25% vs dragons. But in fairness you'd want only one active per combat session...maybe?

most likely... otherwise we'd have many overpowered Ninjas on our hands
