I think it's just a matter of taste. Pesonally I like an engrossing story better than lots of eye-candy, action and hot chicks in an RPG. tcould just be me...

Three was the best of the early ones, but I'll always remember how amazed I was with FF2 for SNES when it first came out. Starting out as a bad guy, becoming a good guy, people coming and going...it was just too cool.

Gobez in FF2 was funny the way he did things.

What I liked in FF2 was that it was TOUGH. Zeromus was one of the tougher final bosses I've ever smashed to piece. Of course if you have a brickload of experience it's a piece o cake but I'm rather impatient with exp. building so as soon the caller-girl got the Nuke spell I went for Zeromus.
Also the bosses which guarded superweapons in the lunar cave were though, e.g. Ogopogo, Wyvern, etc.
Memorable game it is. The first TRUE FF.

zeumus was a weak final boss even without nuke.

the final fantasy 7 was easy one knights of the round and he is gone. even the million hit extra bosses were easy to defeat.

throw your best weapons at him with your ninja edge it is the end of game so use them some do 6000 to 7000 damage points.

The Best Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy 6(aka FF3) Because It had the greatest villan of all!
and the the Boss in FF2 WAS too easy!

In FF3 the last boss Kefka can be defeated in one turn.

Hey he is much harder if you play the way I usually play!
I don't Equip esperers!
or learn them from sheilds so there is only one person in my game who even knows Ultima and thats only if I get her to level 99!
Try it that way and fight him on level 36 and THEN you can tell me he is too easy!

i bet kefka at level 36 with only 4 players as soon as i got the airship i went to the tower.

The one main reason I like Kefka best (of all the FF villans) is because he is there though the whole game and is NOT just some stupid Idiot that you see and hear about only at the end!

in FF3 i know how to get a bunch of items with certain monsters with the sketch it is one of the bugs in FF3 only works on certain versions. One of the items is the paladin sheild the only way to get ultmia before the world of ruin.
I love FF3 it is maybe one of the best if not the best FF game. I still have my SNES but i never did have the money to buy the games i just rented them constantly 
I wish Squaresoft would re-release them for PSX so i can get them. Cause SNES games are too hard to find these games.
Blockbuster doesn't carry SNES games anymore. Darn capitalist pigs!

there is even a site for rarley list on the nintendo games and will later have a rarly list for the supernintendo when makes me glad i kept all the games i got from day 1.

They did release FF3 for PSX <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/wink.gif" border=0> its called FF antology.
and It cost MORE to rent games over and over again.

to find nitendo games and supernintendo you must have patience and know where to look i found final fanatasy one for nitendo since i have it already and my relative didn't she got. of course if we both have a game and if it is a rare game i will even buy another copy of it.
