Finding resources on map

Perhaps it is just me being blonde but is there any way to highlight resources on the map like Civ 4?

I'm looking around for coal in my game but damned if I can see any

On the World map (lower right) there are two buttons. The bottom button which looks like hexagons when clicked will reveal a world map showing the resources. Hope this helps.

You can turn on balloon tips like in Civ 4.
In the lower right one of the two buttons allows you to turn it on (something like "show resources")
