I am impressed by the response time of the people at Firaxis, problems occur and they respond quickly (referring to the NEW patch). Thats damage control in action, but in this case I honestly think a more thorough beta testing period of the game would have avoided many of the problems people are having today - and even eliminate the need for the damage control in the first place. I have been fortunate that I seldom pick up games when they just come out, I am not so up to date on such things and have never experienced game crashes, bugs etc
. Civ3 however was the exception virginity lost, I knew it was coming and actually followed by purchasing it the first week it was out... and to date have been disappointed and even at times irritated with the game (not cause I losing  but cause the game crashes). In my humble consumers opinion, this game has been put out prematurely. Civilization 1 and 2 are great games and people like myself had great expectations for Civ3.... by HAD I mean whatever joy I have had so far playing, it has significantly diminished due to all these complications.
So I hope you people at Firaxis are reading this, here is something that I would love to see you give the consumers of your game, consider it a Christmas present 
Can you give us more races to pick from? Yes there are mods available here, but I was hoping for something done by you people animation and all.
I dont mind the pictures you get when a wonder is completed, but in Civ2 those video clips were so cool. Any chance you can add this feature to the new game? Make it a feature people can choose under preferences. When the Great Wall of China is built I was expecting some sort of motion picture, instead I got one snap shot.
And my last request - is there a way to play different music when playing Civ3, you had some classics with your first two, I would love listen to them during game play if there was a way.

One where i can come up with decent scenarios like the ones from CIV II (WW2, etc)!!!!
