Dear Community,
I and my friends using 1.14f but some things arte still missing, and yes I don't thrust my friends, when I am playing with them.
Maybe you could change following ... it is focused, when playing PBEM Games. Only suggestions.
UNIQUE ID with CRC check ...
When the game is created the save game should get a CHECKSUM and an UNIQUE Identification Number, which will be calculated from PTW Main Program and stored with the SAVE GAME ... Also this both Numbers will be stored with the PTW Game somewhere ... when you finish your gameturn ... checksum will be recalculated and saved with the game. UNIQUE ID is always the same.
Everytime when you LOAD the game this checksum will be calculated and compared with the saved one, if it is okay, the chance is high (!) that it hasn't been modified.(yes I know, if there are tools to edit savegames, maybe they also could recalculate the CHECKSUM ... but to find out this algorithm will cost lot of time
Also the Turncounter compares UNIQUE ID and CHECKSUM and makes a note in the program and the savegame that it has been already started once and counts how often you opened the same turn ... and reports it to the other players ... fight all evil cheaters
Also if you exchange the Savegame with a copy, it has different numbers saved in it ... once again the cheater is caught.
Password: should be verified before accepted and administrator should be able to set it back. Also if administratorpassword is used to open one players turn, it should be marked somewhere that he has done it. Administrator should be able to reset the password from a player, if he forgot it.
Befor you start you turn, after logging in. You should see, which battles have been in your area of influence and it's outcome.
First round should be only to set passwords and civilisation and player names, before starting the game.
So that's it for first, someone else, has any ideas ?
THX for reading.
