First 100 turns

For the first ruins i reload - i can't go with map or barbarians on Deity ;)

To me Tradition is a must start since +3 culture is VERY big boost for the first 2 - 3 steps of cultural progress.
Wonders building is key for my style of play - last game (Deity, duel map, 2 AI's, islands, marathon) somehow i managed to build ALL wonders. GE + GS full usage. Once you do that - i don't think anything can stop you (keeping in mind that most of Wonders are early stage in the game) later on.
Except wonders Tradition provides growth boost + defense boost. So it's a good and balanced way.

Liberty is too much "one off". One off Settler, Worker, GP.... not much long term use. It has production boost (+1 for early game is good) and culture cost reduction (only if you play with a lot of cities). So it's a questionable coise of culture points spend.
 
Depends on the strategy, but getting the PT before turn 100 is a must for any game i play.

Lately im doing the B17 rush so the 100 turn milestone is all about getting as much GS farms as i can.

I also find that getting the GL by turn 40-45 is crucial. Bulbing theology or iron working, depends on the path i wish to take towards victory.
