With the early access releasing in ~12 hours, I was interested in how many of you already have your first civ switching path + leader planned out!

Civ: random - whatever makes most sense based on how I'm playing - whatever makes most sense based on how I'm playing

Leader: random

I'm still thinking Jose Rizal on a "canon" SEA run of Khmer > Majapahit > Siam, then Himiko Queen of Wa as Maya > Ming > Meiji if I can pull it off.

Planning to go Rome-Spain-Mexico, trying to get at least one Forum/Plaza/Zocalo together. Still undecided about leaders, Rizz might be good for never ending celebrations, Laffayette for stacking traditions. or Chalemagne for a more balanced aproach.

I'm thinking a (head) canon run for Friedrich - Greece -> Spain -> Prussia, taking advantage of his militaristic bonuses on cultural play along with the unique great people in the first two ages. After that - probably a random/random run!

I'm still thinking of just going for a path through some of the civs which most appeal to me, Maya > Hawaii > Meiji. But my original choice of leader is facing a challenge. The head wants Trung Trac, but the heart wants Ibn Battuta... After that I want to play an economic game with mississipians, Xerxes and his beard.

Leader will be either Tecumseh or Lafayette. A science-leaning Antiquity civ, then I really want to see what my options are. I'm hoping that I will have (at least) 3 civs to choose from in Exploration, and more in Modern.

My very first playthrough is the only time when I get to play with absolute naivety without thinking about end goals, optimization, or crazy synergies. So I’ll probably start with a generalist civ (Mississippi?) or one that opens up most options (Rome). The leader will probably be Jose Rizal, and I’ll leave anything past Antiquity to pure chance - wherever winds take me.

It's giving my first game some serious competition if I'm honest, but the logical endpoint for that run is the Mughals and I don't want that to be my first game.
That's why I decided not to take Himiko Queen of Wa as my first leader; I don't want to get used to free support.

Current plan is scientific fritz leading persia - > Abbasid? - > prussia.
But zhat plan changed so often in the past 3 months, who knows where I end up.

I have at least three different plans, but I can't decide between them. I can see myself finally able to play Civ 7 after 8 long years--and still be racked by indecision :)

Nah--"first thought, best thought." So I'll surely be playing Hatshepsut/Egypt? Surely . . .

I already have my first two games in mind:

Egypt > Abbasids > Mughals. Leader: Hatshepsut—because I want to start building as many wonders as possible.

For the second game, the focus will be completely military: Rome > Normans > Prussia. Leader: Charlemagne.

With buying Founder's and being a huge history buff and always have pushed for more native civilizations in the game I am definitely going Tecumseh first game and will mix with Mississippian and Shawnee. I am with Daigotsu Max. Jose Rizal will be my second game since my wife is from the Islands and says he speaks an older style of Tagalog which Firaxis has done a good job with for his time.

Brew God

Friedrich (Baroque) wielding the fasces across Rome, Spain, and Germany, plundering artifacts and relics before Doctor Jones can put them in a museum (or more likely a warehouse)
My second playthrough will be exactly the opposite, with Lafayette spreading democracy through Greece, the Normans, and France
