I played some Civ 2 in college and I picked up the Civ Chronicles last year. I did some playing then put it away. Now I just got it back out and I am back in the learning curve on it. I am in the process of playing a Test of Time extended campaign with the intent of beating the space race and unlocking the sci-fi tech tree.
In my current game, the Celts built the first Superhighway back in the early 1800s. I also had to surrender a war after 1AD because of so much distance between my cities and the war with no settlers nearby. I also went from Monarchy to Republic. I am glad to be back building empires again.
