My first story was Chingis Khan's "Culture Flip." Chingis wrote a lot of good stuff, and if you look back far enough in the thread, you may be able to find it.
Other notables include "Indian Summer," "Hail Caesar," "The War of the Crazy Women," "The Spearman," "The Celtic Peacekeepers," (you were just waiting for that one, weren't you ) "My Dinner With Xerxes," (that one gave me nightmares for days) and, of course, Vanadorn's epic "Pax Romana."
first one was "celtic peace keepers" too bad it became stale and the thread finished. oh well the daft fanatics will have to go underground. Sandman's pieces are also very good. and he uses Australian stuff to.
Sorry, don't remember the exact name, but I think it was "Yet Another German Tale" (to find which you will have to dig deep into the archives, I think). Very good work it was, and the ending is very good too.
The Final Voyage of L'Invincible Armada. Right now, I'm following "Pax Romana" and "Out of the Rubble." If it gets updated, I'll follow "El Misterio de los Mayanos," too (I read "Indian Summer," by the same author, and enjoyed it).
I believe it was steviejay's first Spanish story, "Spanish Rise to Power", or it might have been the celtic peacekeepers. "War of the Crazy Women" was right around there too. I've also read stevie's other storys, all of Sandman's, "Out of the Rubble" and various others, like the Spearman, and Culture Flip.
I think it was by Bamspeedy, one those stories where it seemed impossible to win, after that i was like "damn, that was one of the most impressive wins i've ever seen" and i started surfing this forum. Now this forum and only 1 or 2 others are all i read.
Yeah I've been around that long, I don't think Toasty posts anymore but Grecian was a hell of a story. Actually I think I started writing before I started reading so I had been here for a little while when that story was written.
Here, it was "Hail Caesar". I think its author (zeeter) had a cult following rivaling that of daftpanzer's.... The first report/story I ever read was one of T-Hawk's epic reports.
