First time with apolostic palace

I'm new with BTS and really like it... This morning the apolostic palace was found by another nation - christ. religion (it is my first game with BTS and first time with apolostic palace ) and i have a question :

Is the religion of the apolostic palace (christ. religion in my game) can be change in a moment in the game or will be that one for all the game?

So moral of the story - switch to that religion, spread it to all your cities, and dominate all voting!

I LOVE being able to assign AI cities to my territory - it allows for much faster cultural conversion.
