The Great Trade Debates
With the advent of writing, communications where open to the rest of our world! Science and Trade had similar ideas for the exchange of communications, however, the Science Deputy had other ideas. A great, 90 minute debate ensued in the Demogame, on whether or not to trade all contacts to England, or partial contacts. Eventually, 5 of our contacts were traded with all 6 of England's contacts.
The Meeting of the Worlds
Our scout gazed across the Great Eastern Landbridge, and wondered who else might lay out there. We already knew one half, and travellers informed us of a whole entire world on the other side. The scout made his way to England with a message from President Eklektikos. "We wish to give thee, Queen Elizabeth, contact with 5 of our known nations, in exchange for your contacts". The Queen agreed, and an exchange of contacts was made. We then traded contacts to other nations for gold.

Like a bad sequel to the Great Trade Debates, another debate ensued over voting. This time, plans for 2 new cities were the center of the controversity, and opinions were much more polarized. One group wanted a simple spot vote, another wanted the leaders to handle it. Yet another wanted to stop the chat and take it to the forums. This time, the chat was called off, and the upcoming war with the Aztecs will have to wait an extra day...
