Someone can help me for food caravans?
How does it works?

One big town give food to several little towns?
Several little towns give food to a big one?
All towns send caravans in each towns?

I'm a little lost with food caravans...

A food caravan basically works like this:

First, you need to build a Food Caravan (or Freight) unit. Next, you send the Caravan to a city. The Caravan immediately adds half of the food required to add one more pop point into the city's "food box" and sets up a "food route" between the home city (where the Caravan was built) and the destination, with the home city giving the other city one extra food per turn (deducted from the home city's own surplus).

A city can only have one food route, either as the home city or the destination, so should another food caravan be delivered either to or from a city that already has a food route, it will overwrite the existing route and form a new one. However, the city will still receive another one-time food bonus from the new Food Caravan, so you can actually deliver several Food Caravans to the same city in one turn to get more food.

It's been a while since I've seriously played Civ2, however, so if there's any details I missed or got wrong, someone else can correct me.

EDIT: While I was surfing some of the older topics, I discovered that I've answered this question before. I'll quote the post right here:

For a Caravan bringing Food and establishing a food route:

-The destination immediately gets half of its total food capacity filled (not sure if there's any penalty for the departure city).
-The destination gets 1 extra Food per turn, which is deducted from the city that built the Caravan

Also, a city can only have one food route with another city, so if you deliver another Caravan, the city will still only get 1 extra fpt. However, both give an immediate bonus to the city's existing stockpiles.

Well thanks a lot Specialist.
(the best unit in Civ2?...Arrghh...there is the spy too...)
I'll try.
But it's not so clear for a french Civ 2' addict.
I'll try.
I'll try.

Question: If you create food caravans and then let their supporting city be captured/razed, can you use NON caravans to deliver food?

If a city is captured / razed, then all units supported by that city are lost, so no. It might be possible w/ a bribed NON Caravan, but I've never tried it, so I can't be too sure.
