Its the last week of the season, and AS Beauvais have a huge task ahead of them. Their first task is to overcome mighty Monaco in the league cup final, which Beauvais did so well to reach but they must now attempt to win against the massive favourites for the match, although their league position does indicate that the match could be reasonably close, with Monaco lying in 14th place.
Whilst Monaco in 14th place can relax after the cup game, as they have already reached safety, Beauvais must go through the turmoil of going into a last day survival battle. Beauvais will start the match against mid table Marseille, 2 points adrift of safety. However if Bastia or Nantes lose whilst Beauvais win then they could survive.
The Beauvais manager has limited his comments on the upcoming games, simply stating that the team knows what they have to do and that at the end of the week we will see whether we achieved this. The board are believed to have backed their manager and will not sack him if Beauvais go down.
