Yeah, I will have to agree with you on Mourinho there, but he is doing an excellent job with Chelsea. We will see in the match next weekend vs. Arsenal, should be a good one.

Yeah and as for the swapping and selling that's what I've been doing, I'm focusing very broadly right now because making all the players the same color/symbol would take away seriously from my team's talent. Right now I'm just working on a yellow/green team, possibly reduced down again to hearts, diamonds and clubs.
 
Somehow it's easier to focus on symbol than on color. I guess that people rather focus on color...
A thread on the FM messageboard with a head like "players for swap, looking for diamonds" will get you some result.
 
Hmmm...

Lost my first game 2-0 at home to Werder Bremen. I dominated possesion, but couldn't score. It didn't look like a very agressive game, methinks I need to step up the offense and/or agression levels.

I would like to know though, do you guys think a group of players with close but not the same symbols that are rated in the 60's are better or worse than a group of players with the same symbol or almost exactly the same symbol that are rated perhaps anywhere in the 50's or perhaps 60 or 61?
 
I think the influence is 1 rating point at most. I really don't know though. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no effect whatsoever, and that it's all a sham... :rolleyes:

Won 2-0 away at VfL Bochum. Looks like a solid win, I am in 10th now, after two games. My next game is home to Hannover 96, who are level with me on points and GD in the tables.
 
I suppose my start to the season was okay... a 6-0 home win against Espanyol which puts me straight back to the top of the league :D. Hat-trick from Gabriel Velasco, 3 assists from Stam.
In my training news 'Marchanno Stam took a knock' hes now out for 2 weeks! :(

Next up away against a team who also won 6-0, so it should be a lot closer.
 
I beat the top team 0-3 (wich I didn't expect) and I'm now Top of the league for the first time since I manage Inter.

Manager of the Month Award

After a week of intense voting on the Game 10 noticeboard we have the final results for this month's Manager of the Month award.

The nominees were: Tony Kinch of Nacional, Michael Hamilton of Albacete Balompie, Olus Kotas of Guingamp, Ivan Suhov of BVO Emmen, Solomon Krause of 1860 Munich, Andy Visinoni of Inter Milan, John Smith Jnr. of Partick Thistle and Robert Gilligan of Oldham Athletic.

And the final results are:

In joint 3rd place: Robert Gilligan and Michael Hamilton with 5 votes each.

In second place: Olus Kotas of Guingamp with 8 votes.

And the winner is: Andy Visinoni of Inter Milan with 11 votes.

I just read that the manager of game 3's racing santander got banned for cheating multiple times. In other news, I've also won my 3rd match. Hurray for me.
 
Last two games resulted in a shock lose, 2-0 away against current leaders extremadura and then a 4-0 away win against bottom place. In 5th position, have changed tactics slightly again to tighten up the defence some more. Next up champs league game against RBC.

Shame about Matt getting sacked from Racing Santander, he did build up a surprisingly good side in a short period last season and im sure the admin had sufficient proof of cheating. Next manager will start with a big fine so will have to sell players to stay afloat, unfortunately I have just £1.4million so cant buy any of them.
 
Game last Wednesday was a 0-0 draw, leaving me in the middle of the table with 4 points after 3 games. No game this Saturday since it was Champion's League or something like that.

I've found a 68 rated striker with similar symbols to most of my team for relatively cheap. And he's left footed, which would make him my first fully left-footed striker, which could be useful (I have an ambidextrous one, but not as good). Hopefully I'll pick him up.
