I just got done uninstalling Civ and BTS completely, then reinstalling, only to find... BlueMarble splash wallpaper, and bits and pieces of UI mods in a new game. No, it's not uninstalled, it's all over the user profile - there's a Warlords folder here, a BTS folder there, a Civ4 folder here, there and everywhere. I had to hunt and peck to find all the places Civ has stashed it's garbage in my user profile. This is inexcusably bad file management.

So please, Firaxis, keep your XML and Python files out of my user profile, and in your own game folder, where they belong.

I believe that in order to get a "games for windows" rating, save folders & user info must be placed in the "my games" folder (microsoft requires it). If you install a mod (blue marble), then I think you have to uninstall that separately.

What you actually want is an uninstaller that removes user data as well.

I dont think saves are a problem (though aren't Civ4 saves in the Civ4 folder?), it's the XML and Python and I can't imagine any reason they need to be in a user profile.
