Hello all,

do anybody know how i can (best way to) force (lure) a Computer Player to attack me ?

Sincerly, Nellorna

Try a cheap Espionage mission (maybe steal maps) on your oppponent after you have demanded him or her to "Furious". You can also demand them to Furious, then kick them out of your territory, if they have troops in your territory.

Welcome to CFC! [party]

its risky, but you can also just keep a small military. quite often to incite an invasion, ill disband a given amount of units and then demad a city from my neighbor till he/she is furious. its only a matter of time then. of course, sometimes it backfires with obvious consequences...

usually i just do [part of] what hatework said, demand a city, over and over and over, be apteint, it may take a bit for them to move their forces to attack you

Plant a spy in their capital. It's best if it takes you two or three tries to do it, because that makes them angry. Then do some spy stuff, like stealing techs or maps, but don't do it cautiously. Try to get caught. Sooner or later, they'll declare war.

Hi Nellorna; I assume the point is that war weariness is greater when you declare war.
Using a spy will sometimes result in a war; assuming you have spying potential. However I always thought (probably wrongly) that a war declared in response to a spying attempt was blamed on the spying civ and they therefore got the WW penalty. Anyone know for sure?

You also take a reputation hit if you declare war.

I believe, but I'm not sure, that whoever declares war is considered the aggressor, even if that civ was provoked into declaring war. I do know that the aggressor suffers more from WW than the civ aggressed upon.

Sometimes constantly asking their units to move out of your territory (galleys are the best, since the AI always sails them through your territory), and eventually, they'll get mad at you and attack.

I tried everything but a failed spy mission, but they never declared war..
Then again it was a really weak civ, so I just went to war anyway. :ar15:

Well with a weak civ, it's not easy.
However if it's you who weakened them usualy it's easier, even if their military is ridiculous. Tried that on Xerxie, worked out miraculously. They must be really angry at you, lets say +500 on Bamspeedy's meter.

- You can also try to make gpt deal. If the AI can't pay gpt, he will tend to go war.
- Can also try to leave an empty city near his border, he will bwilling to take the city.
