forest stealth, <terrain> stealth?

An upgrade to hawks that came later might work.

Maybe a beefed up national unit bird that can see shadows? Have it fly extra far and able to scout out a larger radius?? Could also be useful for naval missions too!

Obvious suggestion- Eagles

Damn you beat me!

And then would there be a raven/parrot upgrade as well?
Albatross for Lanun?
Hellkite for Balseraphs?
Crow for evil (actually switch with raven so raven is more advanced)

And there should be a national unit limit on these birds, like 3.

What tech? There is see invisible on summoners, Priests (of OO), and Archery (marksmen). Melee tend to beat shadows anyway, unless they're beat up. Commune with Nature is the obvious choice, but this might be a way to beef up horse techs, although it would be a stretch without renaming.

Animal Mastery might seem appropriate- or possibly one after it?

Guilds and Tracking. Reasonably high price, friendlier to the Khazad's tech path (no beastmasters or rangers), makes Tracking more useful. Or if you want to get this idea to use the mounted techs, one word: hippogryph.

Hawk upgrade sounds great! :goodjob: Anyway, the unit doesn't have to be or on the nature line, or on the mounted line. You could merge the Domesticate Elephants and Camels techs into one Domesticate Large Animals tech or something, and also put the Eagle or whatever there. Then you could give that tech two OR prerequisites, one of the mounted line, one of the melee line. :)

Though of course, both the mounted and nature line are pretty useless for the Khazad...

A post in another thread reminded me about this one.

I will say in that game as Khazad, I did finally go to war against the Sidar. Invisible assasins were not a problem at all- because Khazad have no magic users to protect. In fact my weakest invasion troops were hammerfists. So maybe Khazad can't see stealth because they don't NEED to:D

Until someone decides to kill off all your workers and sabotage every single improvement in your empire. At least your mines would be safe because they are indestructable.

Hasn't happened to me yet- AI is not that good. Though I could see it as a viable strategy in multiplayer...

Until you get that eagle graphic!:D
