founding religions

how do you choose the religion you want to found?

i get the vanilla/warlords set every time i get the right tech researched

Be the first to discover one of the following techs:

Meditation: Buddhism
Polytheism: Hinduism
Monotheism: Judaism
Code of Law: Confucianism
Theology: Christianity
Philosophy: Taoism
Divine Rights: Islam.

Edit: huh? What do you mean you get the Vanilla/Warlord set?

i know that one has to research the tech first....

i thought you can choose a religion that one wants to found when researching the religion techs first...

i was under the impression that the rigid ( if you get montheism first, you get the jewish religion) was done away with

go to custom games and check the "choose religion" or some such box, and you can choose what religion you found

I say that if they make it so you can choose your religion, that a bigger list of religions be available like Sikhism, Bahai faith, Spiritism, Falun Gong, or Zoroastrianism as exemples.

This would give you a bigger choice in the number of religions and it would not affect the game in the sense that you would still have a maximum of 7 religions, but some just won't be founded.
