1) what is exactely the utility of the barricades? They shot automatically when an enemy unit passes near they? It doesn't seem so: in a pbem I'm playing, my enemy passes near my barricades without problems!

2) when I take a city, does the great wonders inside always break down? In a game I'm playng, this is not true.

3) the embassies are mutual? I mean: if I build an embassie in the Aztec capital city , have the Aztec automatically an embassie in my capital? So, can they see my capital?

4) when exactely the acqueduct is necessary to grow beyond six?? The irrigation doesn't matter.

Main use it that it stops any unit regardless of movement points left outside that Civs territory. And they give another defensive bonus over Fortresses. The ZoC is somewhat random, and only works if the enemy units move from one tile adjacent to the barricade to another next to it.

2) when I take a city, does the great wonders inside always break down? In a game I'm playng, this is not true.

Great Wonders NEVER break down, Small Wonders and culture-producing improvements ALWAYS (with the small exception of Aquaducts/Hospitals, when they are modded to give culture), and other city improvements at random.

Yes and no. They get an embassy (enabling the diplo options), but do not see your capital - theoretically, since the AI knows all your cites anyway :)
But for humans in MP, or if the AI establishes first, it's true.

4) when exactely the acqueduct is necessary to grow beyond six?? The irrigation doesn't matter.

When the city is not adjacent to fresh water, i.e. a river or sweetwater lake (less then 21 tiles of water).

1) Barricades prevent continuous movement over that tile, afaik. In other words, if an enemy unit moves over a barricade, it must stop - regardless of what terrain the barricade is on, or how many movement points they should have left. Barricades do not shoot at units, unless it's a patched feature of C3C (according to the Civilopedia entry) or a modded game.

2) GW's in conquered cities stay, but you don't gain any culture from them.

3) Whoever builds the embassy is revealed the location & inner-city happenings of the rivals capital, while the rival sees nothing more then the location of your capital.

4) If your population is at 6, and your food storage box (with or without a granary) is full - then your city must have an aqueduct to continue to grow further. The only way around this is if the tile the city itself is located on is bordering a freshwater source (river or lake).

3)
What sourboy said. Getting a 'passive' embassy will reveal the rival's map around their capital, but no free city investigation is performed. For the reason Doc stated, it does probably not matter that much in a SP game (AI may know the location anyways), but it should be considered in a MP game.

1 - It stops the enemy's movement. In your PBEM game, the other player could have ended their turn on the barricade. (Most would avoid it). Are you sure they didn't bombard it?

2 - It should. If the city has no culture, then it will be destroyed. Upload a save the turn before you took the city.

3 - Yes, but they can't see your capital, nor would the AI know what to do.

4 - The irragation doesn't matter because you're probably in despotism, and irragating non-bonus (food) grassland has no effect. Still, build it when you're about to hit size six.
