Hello, I was just browsing the net when I found this:

MP Civ2

It is a free MP add-on for Civ2. It is not the official version, it is just a freeware utility made by someone who wanted to play civ2 online. If you can't afford Civ2 MGE then you may wan't to get some friends and try this. It has network mode too.
