Greetings, I hope there is a solution for my problem...

I had Civilization III (plus the expansions) installed on my computer.
After a while I didn't play it any more and uninstalled.
Some time ago, I wanted to install it for a second time.
I inserted the Civ III-disc, and pressed "install"
The new window asked me "are you sure you want to remove all installed components?". I clicked "yes" and the uninstaller started, and it was very quick finished. After this, the installer closed. If I click "no" instead of "yes" the installer is directly closed...

I searched my computer for any old Civ III-files but none were found.

Is there anyone else who has this frustrating problem?

(oh and excuse me for the English, it's not my native language)

First off, no worries on the English, mate!

You probably have some registry entries lying around. I would check out this post, it discribes how to remove the registry entries.

I followed the instructions, and yes, there was a registry entry of Civ III left...
I have deleted it, and now I will try to install Civ III.
But at the moment I don't have the CD's so I have to wait to get them back.
