way I personally use auto logger is to enrich my many many comments, not enrich the auto logs with my comments =)

Great tool for keeping tabs on the nibbly bits though for sure, especially during the fighting.

I think we should try to keep as many Aztec cities as we can maintain and defend, as our goal is domination. We don't want the capitalist American pigs filling up the void and let them make themselves stronger.

trade Roosvelt gunpowder for banking and his world map + 100gold
we can see Persians and Arabs
exchange WM with mao for another 40gold

increase science to 80%

2. 1510AD
time to move towards Monte's cities

3. 1515AD
move closer, Tleteloco only defended by 2 units however, there is a stack nearby with 7 units

4. 1520AD
Monte did not attack, move next to city with 2 defenders

IT spot 2 stacks approaching

5. 1525AD
Moscow finishes a market and starts a grocer, this helps income a lot
2 stacks turn out to be no stacks, defeat a spear in the jungle
bomb Tlaxcala's defenses down to 5%
defeat Lb and spear without losses and the city is ours

IT Monte attacks new town with 1 cat but retreats, Cyrus shows up, he is behind in tech

6. 1530AD
defeat LB and cat outside Tlaxcala
defeat HA in the jungle and send more units into new city

IT what I guessed comes true, Monte is sending units towards new city, we defeat a HA
a galley shows up as well

7. 1535AD
2 galleys are filled with units, lucky we have a caravel nearby that I built to explore
defeat 4 units next to Tlaxcala
decide to attack big stack moving towards our territory. defeat 4 HA's

IT and then desaster strikes

we also defeat 3 of Monte's units

8. 1540AD
we get PP, go for chemistry and grenadier, we need them badly now
now first things first, make peace with Monte, we get 30gold and 9gpt for that

our units will take ages to get back to China
upgread 2 units in Catheringrad and send some towards Macao
but we face a big stack, hope we can survive

IT defeat 2 knights at Catherinegrad

9. 1545AD
move more units northeast, but we might be too late for Catheringrad to save it
rush a pike in there

IT lose a mace inside, but defeat 4 more units, however too many units coming

10. 1550AD
another pike will be ready in the IT
attack and take Macao

this game is a joke, China is supposed to be on our side and fights us, while USA is friendly :crazyeye:

Indeed quite an interesting/weird turn of events, our comrade has betrayed us. I guess this means that we won't have to share the world with him:king:
 
Ouch. The variant looks like it's about to break. That seems to happen a lot in Farae's games (FS1 supposed to be cultural victory, wasn't set up properly and ended in domination).

You may be able to beat the stuffing out of Mao and get peace for no damage to your relations though (as it was him who declared war). Although, unless it's explicitly in the variant not to, I would just take Mao out and have 1 less border to worry about.
 
To be honest, we have fantastic land and this is only prince, however, I can see that we didn't even build up proper infrastructure here. During my turns I still build a market and grocer in Moscow and other have essential stuff missing. We put too many cottages around so we can't even work all tiles.

As for the variant, I'd say we don't need to befriend a traitor, let's rid the world of Mao. By the way, we could sign in Germany to the war. I didn't since we don't want any deals with non commies.
 
Well, as far as Mao, I agree, we should just take him out. I think the variant was mostly about buildings and civics any way.

Also, to help Catherinagrad, we can probably whip some defenders in there, you think?

I also wonder if we can get Alex to attack Mao?

OK, in the absence of...well...pretty much everyone, I guess it's my go unless Vovan appears pretty sharpish. Since we need the extra players, I'd say yes to SpriteSODA joining...all in favour?

OK...got it and will play tomorrow...it's 11:30pm now otherwise I'd play.
