FTS-03 King of Prussia

I ran up against mech infantry and quit
Don't forget the fighters! :ack:

I was able to take 2 more of Mansa's cities before he upgraded everything to Mech Infantry. After 7 turns, our entire offensive force was wiped out. I also lost all but 1 of the Frigates. It would be a different story if we had our Panzers. But it looked like we'd need 70+ turns to research them.

Except for the "pressing of enter" while Mansa builds his spaceship, this game is over. We lost! Unless someone really wants to press enter 100 times, I say we go ahead and just end this one.

It'd be a different story if we had started on the Japanese island. Oh well. A big Thank You to everyone on the team! I really did enjoy playing with each of you. Hopefully we will meet again in another SG!

Possibly, angel, but everyone was so bummed at the starting island that killing Toku seemed the best thing to do (when isn't it?). After that, we couldn't seemingly outtech or produce Mansu, so ...

Anyway, thanks all for the game, it's always worth a shot.

I'll make a confession: during the war with Toku you lost control of his iron, so he could make axes/swords which made the war much tougher. I picked up the game before that happened, and played on for myself, kept control of the iron and took over the island. After this i concentrated on a peaceful spacerace, made a few extra citys on nearby islands, never declared war anymore, only Lizzy declared on me but i could held her off, and at the end space was quite easily won.
This said, i myself would never have started that war with Toku, i would have given up, so thanks to all of you for the game :goodjob:.

Domination was the goal from the beginning, so space was never an option. With our bad start I'm only surprised that we lasted this long. Anyway, it was interesting, and quite nice to play with you all. Hope to see you in another SG.

The lack of other victory conditions definitely made this game a lot harder, in addition to the terrible starting location (we may have been able to eek out a diplomatic victory as well since Vicky and JC would have voted for us against Mansa). We also got some bad breaks in our initial war with Toku, but then again, we play the game because not everything goes according to plan :D

It was fun trying to climb out of the hole that the RNG gods dropped us into. Hope to see you guys in another SG :king:
