^^Yeah, the first thing I remembered when I saw that were the stories of the pirate villages of Cornwall and of the French Bretagne, that attracted the ships to rocks using big fires ( that the ships took as lighthouses ). I doubt that the Warlords AI is that smart ....

Absolutely not. In the same ice bound cities like the one that built that light house, I've seen the AI builing galleons and frigates...

Vanilla CIV IV, haven't even installed Warlords yet (we want to finish this game first.)

And that lighthouse-in-the-icepack shot just goes to show that an Ice Age has set in!

I never found a reason to start posting before, however something that happened in my current game prompted me to post in here. Playing as Rome, at war with Carthage, guess what Great General I got?

i know nothing about history. at all. so sometimes i google the great people to find out who the heck they are. i had to google yours to see why he was funny for example. recently i got a great spy named Foshaug the Deceiver, never heard of him.

the very first link on google was to this page:

which has a link to a wikipedia article for each of the great people in civ4. that's not usually the first link for the GPs i look up, since they're famous and stuff. the page for this guy said "there is currently no entry" *giggle*. there wasn't one for just plain Foshaug either, and doing a quick further google check for things like "foshaug spy" and such didn't come up with likely suspects. i think they made him up. that, or he was a reallllllllly great spy and only firaxis knows about him .

Well they changed it so Great People come along at random rather than in some sort of chronological order in Warlords.

Henry Ford built the pyramids in one of my games, and I was playing Egypt as well. He said we could have the Pyramids in any colour we wanted, as long as it was black.

This reminds me of the freshwater lakes in Mexico where one can travel from one to another underground.
