Maybe the warrior is in the same land mass than the settler

And about the second picture: Fin bonus is computed before the GA one... this means that Ocean will not get bonus from Financial ( 1 coin -> 1 coin ) and then it will add the GA bonus ( 1 coin -> 2 coin )

His bow must be really heavy... or maybe the fighter's pilot is really bad... or drunk one of the two... maybe both.

heavy bow = heavy arrow... it wouldn't be able to reach 1500 feet.

it was a flechette fired from a rifle... technically, it would still be an arrow.

a SAM to Longbowman,
and so it says "Your Longbowman" instead of "SAM"...

I did say the situation was unusual. I was in a 3 on 1 war (I'm the 1) and one of my opponents had 4 fighters in their allies city. I arranged a peace deal that involved getting that city. My turn came round and there is one of my new peace deal gained cities with those fighters just sitting in it - I run a longbow into the city ... and pressto - that message appears.
