Still playing it, I'm not used to marathon. The elephant tiles haven't come in handy yet (there is a huge food deficit), but I am trading for surplus resources with them, which helps a lot. Of course, I may have to cancel those deals once we get to war elephant capability.

Wheat and two cows; what food deficit? I'd be more interested to see what the surrounding land looks like. I've never seen elephants on plains; I'd like to see what other wacky stuff this map made up also. Good luck.

@FireStorm: BUG mod really hates that game!! Thats alot of civs, and not much room.

The REAL reason the Native Americans won the war for Rome was not because the Native Americans had Cannons and Rifles, but because the Romans couldn't see thier own hands, with all the smoke...

Spoiler How I made this... long and boring :

(Playing BtS, Dales Combat Mod... battlefields appear during the course of war, whenever hostilities occur. These battlefields give -1 :food:, -1 :commerce:, take 3 movement to enter, and, when the terrain is open, makes smoke. The amount of smoke generated is relative to the amount of units in the battles.

The smoke that caused this? My stack of around 40 units vs. Romes stack of about 50. With Stack Attack, that lead to several HUNDRED battles, in that one turn. Followed by picking off Romes raiding parties ;) Smoke desn't hamper combat, however :( )

*shudder shudder* Asoka looks creepy. Its like he's evil & wants to rule the world or something.
he did in OTL... but after some battle in the kingdom of Bengal, and walking the streets, seeing all the destruction, he became peaceful
I've had some cities generate over 1000 per turn

only once.... i've had my capital generate much more. i flooded it with every single religion, corporation, building, wonder, and great person i could. it generated so much gold that i think it was about... OVER NINE THOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDD!!!!!!!!!!
