On that game (big Earth map, Noble), I was trying to get myself out of a crappy start location, mostly desert and sea on a peninsulia, with 4 civs who declared war on me in a row. So I went to the New World and enjoyed a warm welcome...

That's the one Noble game so far I didn't manage to win.

They look to be the default graphics that I see in every game.

No I don't have a saved game anymore, I played another game since this one so the autosaves are lost. A game with Isabella to see how the Conquistadors look like, on a continent without a single horse... I'm the lucky guy, I know.

Oagermap, it was not the real Earth, it was the standard randomly generated Earth-like map, the last one in the list. I was in SE Asia, flanked by Happy and Peter. BTW, I've seen the real Earth map around, how do you get it ? With a mod ?

One thing to be said about this game : french musketeers are awesome to guard a city ! With 4 of them in each city I resisted to 4 full-force invasions in 100 years, they took everything until the Cossacks showed up. I thought it was a crappy unit, I was wrong.

Well, a Radeon 9700 with 64 Mo is a bit short to show fancy stuff in this game.

I'm not sure of what's being said. Are those graphics in that pic bad? Because it looks about what I have, and I have graphics set to high...

Those are the exact graphics I have with graphics turned up to their highest. ATI 9800 Pro. Plus they match all the screen shots you see of the game in reviews and such.

So if you are seeing something different then it's your settings that have the problem.
