Yeah, thats the INdustrial/Modern/Future Era mine.
You would think the boats on water that indicate the tile is being worked would change skins with each Era, but no....

4)I dunno, but the sight of an ICBM detonating makes me giggle:lol: :lol:

Makes me wonder if there is som truth in the claims that computer games makes people more violent.! :lol:

Some starting positions dealt by the computer are really puzzling. This wasn't a crowded map at all - plenty of space, and yet....

If was playing Peter, I would have quite and started again after coming accross Thebes so close. Fortunately I wasn't :)

:lol: How do you unlock the camera? I find alot of funny pictures, but they're at a bad angle or two...

Use flying camera:
-Go to the My documents\My games (\Warlords or \Beyond the Sword if you're using one of this x-packs) and open the Civilization.ini file with a notepad.
- Edit the
Allow Camera Flying
AllowFlying = 0

entry to
Allow Camera Flying
AllowFlying = 1

- Open the game and press Ctrl-Alt-F to enable/disable flying camera mode. With it activated you can see the game from every angle ( including below the earth and under the sea )

the AI is deathly afraid of my privateers if they can't make frigates yet. look at what Huayna has protecting one of his cities:

Tiwanku.jpg

11 caravels and 8 galleys :crazyeye:! 3 melee troops to keep 'em company. he might have other troops loaded on the galleys, i dunno, but it looks like a panic attack to me. and i've never gone near that city, i found a great spot to blockade two other cities at once. but he only comes over one caravel at a time, so he can't kill me.

the troops outside the city are protecting workers. one stack is 2 knights, 3 horse archers, 1 chariot, and a worker. do you suppose that worker is improving tiles or just cleaning up after his bodyguards? he's never been in any wars this game, and there aren't any places left for barbs to spawn, so i have no clue what's going thru his head!

i have no clue what's going thru his head!

i do!

it's WAR!!! Once Monty was a continents away from me and started spamming naval units, and i was wondering what would we do with all those units; some turns later, NAVAL INVASION!!! My CGII Muskets kept their Maces at bay, until we made peace...

After rebuilding his ground-forces, he attacked again! :mad: but this time i was that much ahead in tech, his frigates/caravels/galleys were no match for my destroyers/battleships/subs and this time not only the ground-forces, as also his navy got killed! :mwaha:

He never recovered again and i won by Space Race!!! :)

My advise, protect your coastal cities with not less than 6 CG units, build collateral damage units, and build a good navy to keep they're ships at bay (ships of the line, airships, frigates well a lot in these situation)

BTW, if he invades YOU (even if he invades your worst enemy, don't be :); when that war end, he will most likely invade someone else (YOU)), please post here how it happened

1) Aqueduct carries gems through the Colloseum (Get your Water and Jewels!) from a mine
2) Bismarck prefers to kill the opponent while trading with them
3)Crazy Aqueduct dumps most of the water into the ocean at the bend, then carries it across the sea!
4)I dunno, but the sight of an ICBM detonating makes me giggle:lol: :lol:

Very nice screenshots, but the third one was interesting for another reason than the Aqueduct, though it was nice too. On which difficulty do you play on? In the games I've tried on Emperor, AI has built The Hanging Gardens usually about 800 years before your screenshot is taken.

zzzzz.....uh? wha!?!

Firaxis Legal Advisor: "You can't use ANY name with "burger" or "hamburger". You can only call it " a fast food restaurant that sells primarily hamburgers."

Sid: "Burg-" "No!"
"Hamb-" "No!"
"Mc-" "NO!!!"

@Pikkis:
Noble or Prince normally. Yeah, kinda wimpy, but it makes me feel good inside.:lol:

Bismarck's eyes are kinda creepy. Actually, really creepy. Also, if they can have Sid Sushi Co, why not Firaxis Burgers:confused:

Two of these guys are apparently upset.

Hmmm, it's a long time but then again, there IS a small chance of discovering bronze, iron, gold, or aluminium......

I think it is worth it just for the aluminium in the stone age ;) - you could make shields that are strong but light, metal arrows, all in the beginning of human civilization...

However, sorry to destroy your dreams here, but I think that means silver :p (not aluminium).
