Future Era(s) in CiV?

Do you want Civ 5 to include Future Eras?

I don't want a future era, but I do want the tech tree to go to 2050-2100.

And I want the space layer from Call to Power and Satellites that can be stationed above enemy civs for spying purposes.

Also, the ability to mine oceans and found sea cities at the very end of the tree.

Anything beyond that can be modded in.

I think it's better to stop in modern era... btw, I think you should be able to choose from several "Future Techs"... in Civ 4 was just 1 which gave some bonuses... you should be able to choose from more future techs which will give different bonuses like: Health Future Tech (+X health), Economy Future Tech (+ XX% income), Culture Future Tech (+X culture), Military Future Tech (+X strenght for units), Research Future Tech (+X research), etc... (X = a number)

Don't forget that Civilization it's about history, etc... I don't want to see anything science-fiction in it...

Maybe make it a team project you have to complete.
Team Project: "Ascension", can only start creating it at one the very last techs
QUOTE]

Yeah, I was considering in the very end of the tech tree, the Team Project of the Ancension, required to win the game.

It is not a typo using an "n" for the name of it. It is because, in a fourth spatial dimension, the equivalent to "up" is called "ana" and the equivalent to "down" is "kata". The word "ancent" is a play on "ascent", the former meaning "to rise into four dimensions, to transcend known reality".

Team Project (1 Allowed):
The Anscention
Requires: Higher-Dimensional Geometry, Virtual Reality
Wins Anscent Victory
Allows Z-Axis to All Players

Spoiler :
By Z-Axis, I mean, we could figure the following. If our world was two-dimensional, like Flatland, we could assume our spherical planets would become circular, and we could move in a one-dimensional curve over the surface of the world. So, if they were to have a sort of conversion of their world to three dimensions, their circular world would become a sphere, allowing them to move in true two dimensions, not confined to a 1D curve. Likewise, our spherical planets allow us movement on a two-dimensional surface. If we were to convert our universe to four dimensions, than our world would become a glome (a hypersphere, or 4D sphere), and we could move in six directions along the "surface" of the glome.

So in the game, once the Anscension is completed, every player, AI and human, are allowed to move any of their units into three-dimensional spaces, like multiple "space" levels, only with different terrain types also :D

Yeah, this is so complex, it'll have to wait for CiVIlization (Civ6). I'll go now.

Yes, I have Alpha Centauri and I read Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions.

The only problem with an Ascension type victory is a Space Race victory, which will have to be moved back or removed completely, instead acting as some kind of tech/resource/corporation bonus. Also, Ascension could be completely researched based, like the Future Techs, and researching it = win. It could also grant a point bonus since it will be hard to reach - there are a lot of techs between Fusion and Ascension. If you don't have the production muscle of a large civilization but are rolling in the dough, ascension could be a viable alternate.

How about

Future weapons systems

If you give your units this promotion, you can airlift two or three per turn rather than 1 per turn normally.

Look up "Future weapons systems"
