not sure. my guess is, you are rewarded with just points as in civ2. That was one thing I disliked about civ2. It's a shame if they didn't come up with something better than rewarding you with points. maybe a new unit would've been nice or gold or resources. I could be wrong, I haven't reached that far yet.
there should be better use for these things. i.e. if you get to every future tech ending in zero, you could get one bonus, which would be chosen by the computer, such as earning 5%, or getting one more unit per city for free...
all in all, pretty worthless. I rarely get halfway through the modern era, much less future tech, and the bonus they give you is pathetic, with no effect on gameplay. Only useful for those score milkers out there.

Actually it's not all that useful for milkers either... Setting the science slider to zero and the luxury slider to the max will yield a lot more points.....
it dont do anything to culture A444. it just adds few points o your overall scre. and i seem to remember that its alot lot less than what hygro said. for soem reason 0.5 per tch but thats a wild guess. and i cant find it anywhere.
Future tech adds the equivelent of 1 content person. So for Chieftain this would be 1 point, and deity 6 points. And these points are averaged through all the turns you have played so far. So if you got Future Tech 1 at 2000 A.D., you would get 1/490 of a point on chieftain (540 turns in the game at 2050 A.D). At 2001 A.D. you would have 2/491 of a point. At 2004 if you got Future Tech 2, then you would have 5/494 of a point, then 7/495 of a point, etc.
You'll score much more by irrigating more tiles and leaving the luxury rate as high as possible.
