Last night I completed a game with Byzantium (or as i renamed it, "Valbuenium") with a Science Victory and i encountered some uncounted differences along the way:

  • When I researched "Plastics", the game tells me I've entered the Atomic age. And as i was preparing for a science victory, i opened the tech screen to beeline to certain technologies and i found out that i never even researched a tech in that era! Plastics came before it, so it didnt make any sense.
  • In my standard resourced PerfectWorld3 map (a mod map), there were absolutely no sources of Uranium in the world. Could this be the fault of the mod? or in standard resource maps, uranium isnt necessary?
  • When i completed Cristo Redentor in my coastal city of Antioch, it's graphic never showed up.
  • Even though i edit my Civ's name, the original name shows up when i fulfill a CS request (say of faith or culture whatever)
  • Railroads and river bridges don't display properly on certain routes, even though they are connected.
  • Certain SAMs don't show their missiles, usually if they are facing a certain direction i believe.

If anyone can share similar bug experiences you can

On the plastics issue, had you filled up the entire modern era? If so that's why. If you fill up all techs in an era before learning any in the next you are considered to have completed the era and moved on to the next.

I coouuld have filled the Modern Era but i don't remember exactly :/ and something's telling me that i researched plastics as the first in it's tier/section thingy

Also, I never seem to get any victory screens. I just finished a Siam playthrough and i've saved before i would win a diplomatic victory, and long behold it never really came.

Did all of these bugs show up when using the mod? If so, I don't think anyone is going to pay much attention to this thread. The general consensus is that when using mods, any bugs can be attributed to that and it's not worth investigating, fyi.
