I was curious about that too, as neither my turn 75 or 76 games seem to have made it into the results list, even though one of them was submitted on the 30th.... Confuzzling.

Congrats to anyone who made it in 70 turns or less. That's hardcore. Now, come on, fess up: any double culture ruins in that lot? :)

2nd edit: hmmn, maybe games played with the new patch were disallowed? Not sure if that makes sense either.
 
No, not in my (and I guess not in others too). Just 1 culture ruin + monument. :)

Yeah, I built a monument in both my persia games with less than two culture ruins. Funnily enough, the one with no culture ruins gave me the turn 75 finish.

Ah that may be exactly it: the list shows only my best, pre-patch effort. :(

Patches without a mod (coupled with Steam) make these things hard to keep a track of, have made the changes to the vetting software and the list should be correct now.

i second that motion. i guess date is highlighted as it is somewhat applicable across different speeds, but turn # is a lot easier to parse.
 
What a last day that was! I aimed to have just one more go but after getting a T68 game I was unable to improve much more than that. I used similar warrior rush idea to DaveMcW, did not build a monument and only found one culture ruin.

The math suggested that as, by mid 30s, I was unlikely to find another ruin that would allow a useful 2nd GA and so I gave up completely on double ruin idea and only had the one final GA from military kills.

An ideal start for me was not in a corner (priority). Dave's map shows a good position, near but not in corner and I think he is right with the order of kills. I would be interested to know if other maps have this consistency in placing major civs.

Secondly was 2 hils and hopefully a mining resource.

PS. I notice that in the HoF update discussion, MaxM is in 2nd whereas the HoF itself shows him to be in 4th. Is this because of the update change that has been made?
 
initially games with the new patch were not included in this gauntlet's script, which was fixed.
