Hey im new to civ 4 and i had a question. Whenever i start a game whether its a scenario, play now, or custom game the game starts and displays "10 turns left!" After 10 turns it says that i have either been defeated or i have won and goes through the scoring statistics and then offers me option to stop or continue playing. I have tried disabling all types of victories except for conquer and nother has changed. i was curious if anyone knows how to fix that. another quick question was if anyone knows how to get a year editor so that i can edit the calendar year in the game to help prevent buildings from becoming obsolete.

Unfortunately you have a rather serious problem here. You should make sure your wetware is loaded and fully initialised before attempting to play with a file you don't know the provenance of. It's not worth the hassle.

PS. This forum has a search function. You might like to use it.

This is a common problem with No CD Cracks for Civ4. If you are using one of these, the way around it is to run it using the original CD/DVD rather than a cracked copy, this site does not support piracy so you won't get an other answer. If you are using an original copy of the game I don't have a solution, I have not heard of this problem with a legal copy of the game.

Your question about modding the game so that buildings don't become obsolete would be better asked in the Civ 4 Creation and Customisation forum.
