Game Crash when loading another game during play

Mmmmkay.

Unfortunately, after having read this thread, I felt the need to go download the HoF mod and so my games are no longer vanilla BtS .. (figuring if things were already hosed, I wasnt making them any worse by installing the mod) ..

I was playing along, hit Ctrl-L, chose the most recent auto-save and immediately it flashed to the Windows error box and told me the game had to close ..

Now, I suspect if you load this game from the main menu, it'll work ok.. but if you try it from during a game it'll crash.. (or, more likely, it'll prove me wrong and not..)

so, latest BtS steam version, latest HoF mod.. save game attached.

ok now this is a reproducible crash
unfortunately the error log just contains gibberish - so this is something for the publishers to look at...

Do the publishers drop in here to check for bugs ever or do we report it somehow.. or? or?
