There are 5 of us firefighters that play online and LAN games to kill 24 hour shifts that we work. We all connect thru a Linksys router. While we have been playing Civ4 we are experiencing a few different bugs.
My system specs: AMD Athlon 64 3500, MSI GeForce 6800 PCI-X 256 card, memory = 2 gig of 3200 dual channel mem, on-board sound card is a Realtek AC97, running on XP Home edition. Should be plenty to run the game. 1. I get lag or system slow downs on numerous screens. Starts to scroll across the screen extremely slow.
2. We get an out of sync message a few times and end up having to exit out of the game and reloading at the last auto-save point.
3. Sound is crackling and skipping in cut screens mostly but sometimes in game.
These are the three main issues I would like to address first and see if anyone else is having the same problems with the game.
I have all the latest drivers and bios running except for the video card. I use the nvidia 77.77 drivers. They are more dependable for Battlefield 2. The latest ones are 81.85
