Game Freezes Immediately Turn 1

As soon as I click on "Begin your journey", bam the game freezes.

It was working perfectly before, now all of a sudden it stops working...

I already reinstalled it, tweaked a bunch of settings for the game, and nothing...

Someone reported the same thing a year ago and it's never been resolved. I'm wondering what's the problem, and I hope I can play Brave New World because I already preordered it... It'd be a damn shame if I wasted that money for nothing.

This is a common occurrence when mods conflict. Are you using any mods?

Same thing but it was a continuation of my Hunnic game. @Browd, I had no mod conflicts. My Hunnic game is purely 100% free of mods.

This is weird, I can play all my saved games but I can't start up a new game...
