game hangs up at 90 AC

Essential info: Game hangs up ("waiting for other civilizations") after finishing turn when armageddon counter hits 90.
Its a two-years-old gaming pc (athlon dual core 2x 1k, 2k ram, radeon 4800 and windows xp pro. Drivers, aswell with BTS/ FFH2 versions are up to date, ).

More description:
Its my first time with FFH, my first game i decided to ...carry on to victory.
Chosen the Sheaim civilization and changed to infernals pretty quickly. Everything was fine...
...until i made to point when armageddon counter hit 90 points. I waited pretty long for 'other civilizations' to finish their turn (Avatar of Wrath was supposed to appear and 'barbarize' half of living units. As i play in the biggest map with 11 more civilizations, i was prepared for a loong waiting time). So i turned the monitor off and went to bed.
Four hours passed and computer still is 'waiting' for other civilizations.

Any idea what's wrong?
 
Unfortunately, this is a very common problem with the Avatar of Wrath event. When the AC approaches 90 I start saving every turn. If a problem occurs when the Avatar appears (and it usually does), I reload the previous save and play the turn again. If the problem repeats, I load the next earlier save and replay the two turns until AC 90. I repeat this process, with earlier and earlier saves, until the problem doesn't occur or I give up and start a new game. Usually I just end up starting a new game, because the problem happens so frequently.

Alternatively, the problem is fairly easy to avoid. I've never had the AC reach 90 unless I was intentionally driving it higher.
 
I just had this happen to me while playing as Hyborem. It's probably something in latest patch that did it as it's never happened to me before. I've played a lot of games with max AC and no bugged out game. I hope they fix this fast, playing through a whole game and having it bug out truely sucks.
 
It seems 2041d doesn't have this problem. I'm not sure if later patches are safe, I just play with this version since it works. You can update the unit graphics from the latest patch my manually copying them from the art folder and the art xml files. Maybe all the AI changes from Sephi broke the Wrath event?
 
This bug will not occur in some games but will in others. I just recently played a 0.41m game in which the AC went above 90 and I had no problem with the Avatar event. This is unusual, however, because the problem is very common. As far as I know, there is no patch that has less chance of having this problem than any other patch. The bug that causes this (whatever it is) predates the merge of Wildmana code, and if I recall correctly predates 0.41 as well.
 
I agree with Breunor that it is probably caused by a miscalculation during the processing of units with the Enraged promotion that results in a infinite loop, but as far as I know that hasn't been confirmed and the actual code error has not been located.
 
I still say unpatched 2041d is 100% free from this bug. :) I've played 3 more games as Infernal and all were fine when the wrath event happened.

I'll upload a save from my last game, if it bugs out for other people then w're on to something. This was the earliest autosave I had other than the intial turn, apparently I never manually saved during this one.

Remember to use version 2041d with this save.
