Game keeps cashing on win screen

I just won a Space Race

All the defeated leaders are calling me names.

I click

It crashes

Is this a known bug with a fix?

RESOLVED!

You have to hit "esc" on these screens to progress without a crash, don't click on the X.

I've always clicked on the "X" and never had any problems.

I've had mixed experiences. Certain games (space victories) it seems that something is weird with the save file. No matter how many times I load from the turn before winning, click through, it crashes. Most victories are just fine. But using the ESC key is a safe alternative.
