Game of the Year

Hello everyone! First off - I absolutely love this game! I bought the Game of the Year Edition last year, waited to buy a computer to actually play this game. Bought one, then I discovered this website and then tried to download some mods. After writing to another forum, I was told that the edition that I bought was unable to be modified.
My question is - if I buy Beyond the Sword, will I be able to use it?

whoever told you that the version can not run any mods - was mistaken. However, most mods nowadays are for BtS. It should definitely run - make sure to install all new patches.
