Wouldn't they name that "NO city flipping after conquest?" Maddening naming convention, if you ask me...

I think that's the source of the confusion. The fact that it's right below culture flip that has a No...

Hey, TCJSavannah, click "My Real Avatar" in my sig :D You won't regret it :D:goodjob:

It's a... *rolls dice* pleasure to meet you. :)

The options I didn't check were

No City Razing - removes some choice from the game
No City flipping - if your cities are flipping, you don't deserve to have them.
No Barbarians - removes the danger from the early game
No tech trading - removes a crucial element of strategy from the game.
Always War/ Always Peace - What is the point of diplomacy then?
One City Challenge - I like expanision too much.
Victory: Space Race - I've never liked this victory condition.

It means that even after you have destroyed a civ, a city can still fip back to them, resurecting the conqured civ.

Oooh! That sounds cool! Count me in on that one.

Then how would you determine the borders? Culture is a major part of the Civ design.

By military force and diplomacy like in the real world?
I can always dream....

If that is true, Phungus, then I would be a VERY happy man indeed. I always felt it should be possible for a civilization should be able to make a come-back IF it has members of that ethnic group still around.

I agree (it also gets rid of that, "drat just got to finish off that island of theirs" feeling. Now finishing off that island won't help much, so I won't be as annoyed just leaving it.)

I wonder; removing Space Race still allows you to build the spaceship right? If so, does it have any purpose? (like a culture boost or something)

I'm asking, cause i ALWAYS played my Civ3 games WITH this option on, I really never thought of removing it... and now that you mention it, i think i might agree with you... cause in the later era, the race IS a bit annoying...
