i have a problem where my game automatically shuts down.
i haven't noticed it in regular play mode (where you pick a civ and your opponents and just play). it typically occurs when i'm playing a conquest game. i get to the end of the mandatory retirement year (or when i win such as when the council is called and i'm elected the leader). as soon as the screens go through the whole deal showing the culture and power and score etc etc...and the game is supposed to go back and ask you "do you wish to play a few more rounds or do you wish to quit" the game freezes and an error message pops up and the game shuts down. it asks me if i want to report the error.
i'm running windows xp professional version 2002 pack 3. not that that makes a whole heck of a lot of difference.
any thoughts? i was thinking of uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it. i have all the patches in place and i'm running civ III complete edition.
i think i might remove my sim city 4 from the computer as well as i don't play it much and i've gotten bored with it.
