Sup guys,

I noticed that a lot of people have a lot of gameplay and sound issue, I know some people already talk a lot of that in an other thread...

But it seems that nothing go foward.. the game is unplayable, even a at low graphs, I update all my drivers.. I can now play.. but the lag takes away the fun to play
Also since I have installed my nvidia drivers, everytime I start the game it crashes to desktop and I miss the intro.. (anyway the sound was jerky when i was playing).. but I can return to the game by alt-tab..

I also tryed to pause game, then alt-tab and return to Civ 4, but the lag still there

I have penthium 4, 2400 Mhz
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 (128mb)
soundMax digital audio integreted in motherboard
Window Xp with service pack 2
Motherboard : Asus P4S533-MX

I hope they will release a patch or something to help

Same here... leaderhead problem again... Try to leave to Desktop while you play and come back in the game, i am sure you will be surprise how the game is going to run smooth... make sure your graphic are at medium... cause even if you can run the game with High setting (like me) youll notice u cant play at high (1-2 fps all the time) but can at medium (30 fps) except when you see another leader... Give me some news, cause i hope we can all spot the real problem and see if there is a way to fix it ourself cause i don't think Firaxis is going to fix this issue soon.

MY solution... we need static or images LeaderHead and no Wonder Video... images only.

I have pretty much the same system Ghost with the exception of proccessor speed being a tad faster (2.8). I didn't have any of the problems you mentioned except the occasional sound cut out during vids. I figured it was just the combination of a vid card barely meeting requirements and onboard sound causing a chug as they both choked going to the cpu.

Just for the heck of it I ran DriverCleanerPro and installed the omega drivers (based off an older nvidia release I believe). It cleared up the sound clipping and the game is running pretty smooth now with the occasional slowdown during a combat/wonder zoom in. Granted I run at medium detals, single units, and all the bells and whistles off but it might be something you want to give a try.
