Game won't load any mod/scenario

Everytime I try to load a mod (such as "Greek World", "American Revolution" or even the "Tutorial") I get the usual Microsoft error notification message right after the first loading screen (when it writes "loading" in different languages).

Apart from this, the game runs perfectly. And I have patch 1.52.

I doubt this has anything to do with my computer, since it's really top of it's kind. Both my ATI drivers and Microsoft XP are updated.

Anyone experienced something similar?

Yep, only my problem started AFTER I updated video and such. Also made some changes to the config file that were recommended. I sent all the documentation off to 2K last night so we'll see what they say. My bet is they will say "we don't support mods guppy". Oh well

I heard back from the 2K guys who said to download latest drivers for my
vid card (which I already have done).
Anyhow, I did find a tip on the forum that worked.
I set memsaver to 1, autosave to 0 (both in the ini file) and graphics quality to medium in the advanced settings in the game.
I can now load mods!

When you load non-Firaxis Mods, only load one at a time. Loading more than one can work ... but you need to check with the MOD author if there are any contentions likely. One MOD can over write another's changes and cause issues.

Sometimes you get lucky, depends on what files the authors changed, and it was the sameone - and therefor u overwrite the original author's work

Flip a coin really - but be aware ....
