I've been struggling with the GameFont file for a long time now. I've followed the tutorials, counting pixels etc. What I'm doing is adding 7 religions to the game (in a personal use only mod, since I ended up using assets from another mod):

Early:
Egyptian
Greek
Roman
Norse

Modern/Future:
Armageddonism
Apocalypticism
Machnisim

How I did this was shunting the Corporation symbols on by 14 squares which made then go on to the line below.

I've got the symbols working, but the defence symbol on the city bar is now the famine symbol.

Any ideas what I need to do to sort this out?
I'm hoping this is the reason that the game keeps crashing on me when I load the mod.

Thanks in advance

Is this the ONLY change? How do you see it? You say the mod crashes during loading.

That's fairly save :yup:.

Sorry, loading was the wrong word. I meant when I end my turn and start switching to the next. It gets to the beginning of my turn then crashes.

I've attatched a screen shot of the defence symbol problem. There could be other problems but I don't get far enough in to notice them.

Also the inter-city trade symbol swaps for the red coin symbol just remembered. Seems to be out by 4 symbols each time.

can u upload the gamefonts and religioninfos?

btw. just because you used another mod as base, doesnt mean you cannot upload it and share it. just give credits to the one you "stole" from. A lot of mods do that. RAND is from RoM and C2C is from RAND, so it even goes multilevel ;) not to mention all the mods that are built on RevDCM.

there you go mate. couldnt find anything wrong, so I recreated them instead.

Thank you for recreating it I'll add you into the credits :) checked it on mine. Works perfectly, tried a game, but it just crashed again after i'd built about 3 cities and had archers and walls. So no idea what's causing it this time, so I'm going to strip it down at some point.

its not because of the fonts, I can pretty much garanti you on that. but try check the art defines. its usually that if you havent used python or dll changes. also make sure your movies and buttons for the new religions are in the correct format and path'ed correct in the religioninfos.

Right. I've removed most of the things I thought would be confliciting. I had previously taken the Greek, Norse and Egyptian religions from the Extra mod by Chiyu and put them in. However, I then decided to take his extra civilizations, buildings and unit and put them in along with the extra civics. I've just finished removing the units, civilizations, the new buildings, the couple of techs I put in. Then after checking all the assets were where they should be in the folders and I'd put the file destinations down correctly, I started a game. I've got further than I normally do. I've reached mathematics and swordsman, but it starts crashing after I end the turn no matter how many times I've restarted it.

Now I checked the art defines they should be okay...

Is there anything else that could be the cause? Like the extra civics?

It is, checked it against the Next War XML files that I originally modded before adding the extra mod stuff. Seems to be in order, all that's in it is the Next War stuff and the stuff I personally made. Managed to get further in one game, but I wasn't paying attention to anything but researching and was defeated. However I got to the medieval era so it could just be I have removed everything that was conflicting like an extra era I had tried to implement.
