This might belong more in the computer talk forum but it relates directly to all other games so here goes. What sort of peripherals are you guys using? Which ones would you recommend to those wanting to up their pc gaming experience?

I just picked up a microsoft brand xbox 360 controller for pc. The wireless is really nice, since I already have plenty of wires coming out of my pc. It has great feel and response I would definitely recommend the official brand over knockoffs if you want to use a controller for any games. Just realize how well it works also depends on the support in the game. Some games with it are awesome like batman series is practically built for it, while others are not as good. For example nba2k13 it works great in the game but the menus don't also navigate correctly and the tutorials don't recognize the controller and mislabel buttons in the instructions. Still well worth it.

I've also got a corsair hs1 gaming headset. This thing rocks. It's very comfortable, has great sound, the mic is clear and loud but doesn't pick up too much ambient noise. I don't think they still sell this model, but I'd expect their newer models to be just as good. Though I would opt for wireless if I had the choice now as the usb wire gets twisted up all the time.

I have a razr naga mouse but I don't really use it anymore. It was great for WoW with all the keybindings but quite simply I don't like the overall feel of it. It feels too delicate for some reason to me. I use a steel series katana now. Very basic three button mouse but it fits my hand perfectly. I guess if the naga fits your hand well you might love it but it didn't grow on me.

I just plug myself into the computer. I *AM* the peripheral. Even comes with a built in extension for flight simulators.

Seriously though, Razer peripherals tend to be cheaply made. I have a mouse pad from them that is great, but I wouldn't buy their mice. I have an old Logitech MX518 that is still kicking ass and has survived lots of rough use. The one time I had an issue with the LMB it was fixed by a solid punch. I have a Saitek joystick but I don't use it anymore as I never really got into Il-2 and War Thunder doesn't need it for HB mode. Its nice to have though, just in case and its certainly still been more useful than a mediocre 360 gamepad would have been.

I wish I had a steering wheel set for Euro Truck Simulator 2 even though it isn't necessary.

PS: I hope you kept the receipt for the HS1. I had the analogue one and it died after a couple of months.

I've got razer keyboard/mouse/headset/mousepad (blackwidow/deathadder/carcharias or however it's spelt/goliathus) and I've never had any problems with them. I even managed to get a keyboard bag and headset case for free when I bought the relevant pieces, so that was nice. I know some people say you can get better quality pieces for cheaper, but buying Razer has been my way of supporting them for all the sponsoring and whatnot they do in eSports I guess. I've got a wireless 360 controller as well.

A friend of mine literally feels like he cannot play WoW without using a Naga anymore too heh. He's too used to all the extra buttons. :p

I have some kind of HP-branded keyboard that I fished out of my garage and a mouse that cost me $12.

I have a Wii gamepad that is very useful for old SNES/N64 ports and the few Wii games that use it.

I have a Wii Zapper that was a total waste of money. It's flimsy, not ergonomic or easy to hold and trying to use it means you basically can't use but one of the Wii mote's buttons - and the Wii mote didn't have many buttons to begin with!

I had a Nintendo 'extended range' wireless Wii sensor bar that was also a complete piece of crap. It needed batteries (they only sold a wireless model AFAIK) which is dumb because the chord on the chorded version was plenty long for what you used it for. It also had less range and far less fidelity than the original sensor bar so I stopped using it pretty quick.

I have a rumble pack for my N64 but I don't think it works anymore. I also have a memory pack for N64 but I'm not sure if that works either and I never used it even when it was new.

I've got a crappy Logitech wireless keyboard and some random chorded mouse for my PC. The headset that I have that never gets used actually came with my Rosetta Stone set. It's actually pretty decent but not fancy or anything.

I have a mouse. Some cheap Logitech one.

And...er...a built in keyboard. I use a laptop.

My headset is a really cheap one my parents got me so I could do my French homework. Not even sure the mic would work on games.

...Yeah.

I didn't keep it but I've had it over two years no issues. Probably not under warranty any more.

Logitech Driving Force GT driving wheel. It is reliable and precise, basically a much cheaper and simplified G27. I totally recommend it.

Also a second hand CH Fighterstick Pro plus Pro Throttle for serious flight sims. Very proffesional and rock solid with lots of hats, but maybe too complex to programme for the casual simmer.
