I picked up the GEM map for RoM2.5, and I've decided to play a hot seat game as all civs, no matter what i do i cant get rid of all those lousy warriors that spawn everywhere on the map. it really streches out the unknown area of the map and really bothers me, anyone figure out how to end this?

wow... how many civs? Interesting idea...
but what will you do with the new barbarian civs that revmod will generate? i assume u want total control over everything no?

what kind of warriors? u mean barbarians? try to play without them then...

I assumed i would gain controll over those newly generated civs, is this wrong? maybe i should remove that option.

Anyway the warriors again arent barbarians, theyre your own units, spawned anywhere from 20 squares away from your city, to on the new world and vice versa, I always hated the map function in Civ4, its small and undetailed as time progresses, the warriors permanently stretch out the map by adding visibility miles away from the starting point and i hate it.

also they keep killing the mayans by spawning ontop of them

I have no idea what "generated warriors" u r talking about...

The one form the starting of the game?
than try the "regenerate" map option, that usually deletes one of them on deity... so i assume it does the same on other difficulties...

And anyway, try playing bigger maps...

Can i get someone whos actually played the GEM map to help me out here?

I just remembered that this happened to me once when I was converting the map. I think it was due either to one of the game settings I used or because I regenerated the map. In any case, I couldn't reproduce it when I tried just now. If you tell me what game settings you're using, I might be able to track it down.

I used the GEM for Rise of mankind 2.5 map, with settings being basically 1, agressive AI. 2. choose religions, 3, no tech brokering, 4. comeplete kills, 5. tech diffusion, 6, everything under Revolutions except for revolutions,

Mind telling me where you got the "GEM for RoM2.5" map from as I am having a bugger of a time trying to find it.

Thank you very much.

I think this will only happen when you start the game as minor civ.
Havent seen it happen when that option is turned off.
