German release is extremely bugged

The options bug is still there after 3.02...
and it says it is still 3.01...

Then something went wrong with your patch.
The 3.02 Patch resolved all issues mentioned in this thread. My "About" now states i got version 3.02, if it doesnt for you you should try redownloading & reapplying the patch.

Yep, looks like your patch wasn´t applied correctly.

The build for my version now (after patching) is 3.0.2.94
with the build date being Friday the 13th of July 2007

Before patching it was 3.0.1.

After reinstall and using a download from civfanatics instead of Firaxis, everything works...

I also got the German version yesterday and was really disappointed. Thanks to the patch mentioned in this thread the Options Menu works fine again. I still have a problem though. I haven't played much so I can't say if the error appears at other places as well, but in the "meeting screen" when i talk to another Civ, the graphics of the leader's face are all screwed up. I tried to install a new driver but still the same problem. The original Civ and Warlords worked fine for me. Did they change anything? I am runnig an old system with Graphics turned on "low". I Only have an old GeForce2, but as I said, the other two games worked fine. Can somebody confirm that problem? Then I will maybe get an new graphic card^^

There are plenty of posts in the bug forum about problems with the leaderheads. Thankfully I don't have them, although I use a system not quite up the specs: a Dell d610 laptop with integrated graphics.

Just an update; the one Play.com delivered to me this morning, in the United Kingdom, with English Language packaging had all of these bugs too... and wouldn't download the later patch from inside the game either, as it couldn't find them. But patching up to 3.03 manually fixes it, so hurrah.

Yes...and we don't need to mention all the Vista bugs or all the errors in the translation and especially not Sid's English quotes when the rest of the game is in German...
This Add-On is screwed. I will wait a few months next time, before I buy a product from Firaxis!
