Hello and good evening

I hope i am right here and someone might be able to help me.

I bought Civ5 + Gods n Kings Addon like a month ago on Steam. Now i wanted to start a Multiplayer Session with a Friend on the "Not yet another world map" you know this Giant realistic World map. We just had to put this Map on both of our Computers so it semi worked.

The main problem we just have ...on the whole map arent any Ressources like Stone, Copper, Gold, Fur ect.... So our workes just build farms all around the Cities.

My Question...Is there any other option to make a Huge map like this work with everything even on Multiplayer??

(Sorry for my bad english...actually german here :) )

Where are you getting the map? The Host should be able to generate a Giant map that is not "Real World" map. It should be a dropdown where you can pick a type. Use that to generate the map, anyone joining the game will automatically download that map once the game starts (no need to copy files between computers).

Well i was using google and the Steam Community to get any help by finding a solution how to play on giant world maps and then i found this there:

Download the map you want
go to My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS
Find the directory with your map
Copy the <mapname>.civ5map file
Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\assets\Maps
Copy the .civ5map file here
Start CIv5
Start Multiplayer
Select your map

So i used the (not yet) another world map and tried it...well it worked when the person who is playing with you do the same step...but like i said the problem is the whole map is all empty...no ressources...the worker just build standart farms around cities...thats the problem..No Stone, Fur, Cattles or other things on the map ...
